Kyle Korver will be the 6th man for the Sixers again this season and he’s good at his job. He is a three point gunner on offense as he hit 43% from the three point line last season. Korver played in 74 games (1 start) and he averaged 31.0 minutes, 14.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game. 2nd year guard Rodney Carney also will fill an important backup role for the Sixers. He played in 67 games (35 starts) last season for the 76ers and he averaged 17.5 minutes, 6.6 points, 1.9 rebounds and 0.4 assists per game. The 76ers will probably throw rookies Thaddeus Young (6’8″, 220) and Jason Smith (7’0″, 240) into the fire as the top backups at power forward and center. Kevin Ollie will likely be the backup point guard for the Sixers this season. He played in 53 games (23 starts) last season for the Sixers and he averaged 17.4 minutes, 3.8 points, 1.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. Louis Williams will backup at both guard spots this season for the Sixers. He played in 61 games (0 starts) for the 76ers last season and he averaged 11.3 minutes, 4.3 points, 1.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. Calvin Booth will likely be the #3 center for the Sixers this season. He played in 44 games (1 start) for the Wizards last season and he averaged 8.7 minutes, 1.6 points, 1.8 rebounds and 0.4 assists per game.
