The Philadelphia 76ers might surprise with this starting lineup
The 76ers might be better than most experts think they will be. Andre Miller will be around for a full season and he’s one of the best point guards in the NBA. Miller played in 80 games (79 starts) last season for the Nuggets and 76ers and he averaged 37.1 minutes, 13.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 7.8 assists and 1.4 steals per game. Willie Green will get a chance to start this season and he could surprise some people. Green played in 74 games (36 starts) for the 76ers last season and he averaged 24.9 minutes, 11.3 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. Small forward Andre Iguodala will be the main man on offense for the 76ers this season. The new A.I. played in 76 games (all starts) last season for the Sixers and he averaged 40.3 minutes, 18.2 points, 2.5 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 2.0 steals per game. The Sixers brought in power forward Reggie Evans in a trade with the Nuggets to start at power forward. He might lead the league in rebounds if he plays 30 minutes per night. With Evans and Dalembert near the basket opposing teams better make their first shot because they aren’t likely to get a second one. Evans played in 66 games (11 starts) with the Nuggets last season and he averaged 17.1 minutes, 4.9 points, 7.0 rebounds and 0.7 assists per game. He does need to improve his free throw shooting (49.7%) if he wants to be on the floor at the end of games. Samuel Dalembert is an enforcer near the basket for the Sixers. He played in 82 games (all starts) last season for the Sixers and he averaged 31.0 minutes, 10.7 points, 8.9 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 1.9 blocks per game.
