The Philadelphia Phillies acquire Francisco Rosario from the Toronto Blue Jays for cash
The Phillies really needed help in the bullpen and Rosario might really be a good acquisition by them. The 26 year old righty Francisco Rosario pitched in 17 games for the Blue Jays last season and he was 1-2 with 1 hold, a 6.65 ERA and a 1.74 WHIP. He walked 16 batters and allowed 4 homers in only 23 innings for the Jays and he will need to improve on those numbers big-time if he’s going to help the Phillies. But he has a very live arm as he whiffed 21 batters in 23 innings for the Jays so don’t bet against him pitching well for the Phillies this season.
