The Phillies have outrighted 30-year old righty swinging 3B Mike Cervenak and 34-year old lefty swinging 1B Andy Tracy to AAA making them both free agents. Cervenak played in 10 games for the Phillies last season and he was 2 for 13 (.154 avg, .308 OPS) with 1 RBI. He also played in 115 games in AAA in which he was 142 for 456 (.311 avg, .788 OPS) with 64 runs scored, 10 homers and 66 RBIs. Andy Tracy played in 4 games for the Phillies this season and he was 0 for 2 (.000 avg) with a RBI. Tracy has now played in 140 games in his major league career and he is 59 for 265 (.223 avg, .716 OPS) with 34 runs scored, 13 homers and 42 RBIs. Tracy has whiffed an amazing 96 times already in his major league career. Both of these guys will likely get invites to spring training over the winter but the Phillies won’t miss either of them.
