The Phillies have signed 36-year old lefty swinging outfielder Raul Ibanez to a 3-year, $30 million dollar contract. He played in 162 games for the Mariners last season and he was 186 for 635 (.293 avg, .837 OPS) with 85 runs scored, 23 homers and 110 RBIs. He has now played in 1,384 games in his major league career and he is 1,370 for 4,791 (.286 avg, .818 OPS) with 695 runs scored, 182 homers and 794 RBIs. This is a good move for the Phillies as Ibanez is a really good hitter from the left side.
