The Philadelphia Phillies have dropped righty relievers Brett Myers and Kyle Kendrick from the roster for the N.L.C.S. They will be replaced by backup infielder Eric Bruntlett and righty reliever Chan Ho Park. Myers has been solid in his post season career working in 6 games (3 starts) in which he is 2-1 with a 4.29 ERA and a 1.38 WHIP. He still doesn’t appear to be near 100% healthy so it was smart to leave him off the roster. Kyle Kendrick has only pitched in 1 game (a start) in his post season career and he is 0-1 with a 12.27 ERA and a 1.91 WHIP. The Phillies probably wouldn’t have used either Kendrick or Myers in this series so having Park there will likely help the team. Bruntlett won’t likely play in this series unless the Phillies suffer multiple injuries on the infield.
