The Philadelphia Phillies fought hard to tie this game last night when Pedro Feliz jacked a long solo homer in the bottom of the 8th inning off Joba Chamberlain to tie the game. But, Brad Lidge melted down with 2 outs in the top of the ninth inning as he got drilled for three runs losing the game for the Phillies. Joe Blanton struggled through the first six innings of this game for the Phillies as he allowed 4 earned runs in 6 innings. Chan Ho Park and Ryan Madson threw 2 scoreless innings in this game after Blanton allowing the Phillies a big chance to fight back before Brad Lidge absolutely choked as he did repeatedly all year long as the closer during the regular season. Pedro Feliz had a monster game with the bat for the Phillies in this game as he was 3 for 4 with 1 run scored a homer and 2 RBIs. Chase Utley also had a super game as he was 2 for 4 with 1 run scored, a double, homer and 2 RBIs. He has owned C.C. Sabathia in this series cranking three homers and a double off of him in two games. The Phillies are now down 3-1 in this series going into tonight’s game with the Yankees.
