Jimmy Rollins was a solid table setter for the offense in this game as he was 2 for 4 with 1 run scored. Cliff Lee didn’t have his best stuff today but he still was good enough to be the winning pitcher working the first 7 innings allowing 5 earned runs. He was also 1 for 3 (single) at the plate. Chan Ho Park worked a scoreless 8th inning for the Phillies. Manager Charlie Manuel then called on Ryan Madson to close out this game. He worked 1 innings allowing 3 hits and 1 earned run but he still got the save. The Yankees are now up 3 games to 2 as the series heads back to the Bronx on Wednesday.
