The Phillies decided not to tender a contract for the 2010 season to 34-year old righty reliever Clay Condrey making him a free agent. Condrey pitched in 45 games (0 starts) for the Phillies this season and he was 6-2 with 1 save, a 3.00 ERA and a 1.21 WHIP. He pitched four years with the Phillies working in 161 games (0 starts) in which he was 16-8 with 4 saves, a 3.65 ERA and a 1.46 WHIP. The Phillies won’t miss Condrey too much as they should be able to afford to bring in someone better to work out of the pen in 2010.
