The Phillies have signed 30-year old righty swinging 1B/OF Tagg Bozied to a minor league deal. Bozied played in 56 games in AAA-ball last season for the Pirates and he was 62 for 215 (.288 avg, .806 OPS) with 32 runs scored, 5 homers, 18 RBIs and 4 stolen bases. Bozied has been stuck in AAA-ball for the last 7 years. He has played in 559 games in AAA-ball and he is 556 for 1,968 (.283 avg, .858 OPS) with 311 runs scored, 95 homers, 330 RBIs and 15 stolen bases. He has the look of a AAAA player…..too good for AAA but not good enough for the show.
