Great pitching and timely hitting got the Phillies back on track last night. Roy Oswalt was amazing as he worked the first 8 innings of this game allowing only 3 hits and 1 earned run while walking 3 batters and whiffing 9. He was the winning pitcher and he even helped himself with the bat as he was 1 for 3 with 1 run scored. Ryan Madson worked a scoreless 9th inning to finish things out for the Phillies. Jimmy Rollins was the star of the game with the bat for the Phillies as he was 2 for 3 with a double and 4 RBIs. Placido Polanco also had a very productive game as he was 1 for 3 with 1 run scored, 2 RBIs and a stolen base. Shane Victorino (2 for 4 with a double and a run scored) and Ryan Howard (2 for 3 with a double) also pitched in with the bat for the Phillies last night. The Phillies have tied up the series at 1 game apiece with the Giants as the series shifts to San Francisco.
