The Phillies have signed 31-year old lefty swinging infielder Pete Orr to a minor league deal. He played in 137 games in AAA-ball last season for the Nationals and he was 129 of 489 (.264 avg, .761 OPS) with 63 runs scored, 12 homers, 45 RBIs and 25 stolen bases. Orr has played in 347 games in his five years in the majors and he is 135 of 519 (.260 avg, .623 OPS) with 80 runs scored, 3 homers, 35 RBIs and 13 stolen bases. I like this signing for the Phillies as Orr has been a decent pinch hitter/extra infielder in the past.
