The Phillies have signed 31-year old lefty swinging outfielder Cory Sullivan to a minor league deal. Sullivan played in 57 games for the Houston Astros last season and he was 12 of 64 (.188 avg, .492 OPS) with 6 runs scored and 4 RBIs. Sullivan has now played in 476 games in his first six years in the majors and he is 305 of 1,127 (.271 avg, .708 OPS) with 156 runs scored, 10 homers, 97 RBIs and 32 stolen bases. This was a good signing for the Phillies as Sullivan might be able to help them off the bench in 2011 if he gets the chance at some point in the year.
