N.L.D.S. Game #2: St. Louis Cardinals 5, Philadelphia Phillies 4
The Milwaukee Brewers battered Cliff Lee last night and the Phillies couldn’t recover from it. Lee pitched 6 innings last night and he gave up 12 hits, 5 runs (all earned), walked 2 batters and he whiffed 9 as he was the losing pitcher. Brad Lidge, Antonio Bastardo, Vance Worley and Ryan Madson combined to work the last 3 innings without giving up any runs. Jimmy Rollins was the leader offensively for the Phillies in this game as he was 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored, 2 doubles and 1 stolen base. Hunter Pence (1 for 3 with 1 run scored and 1 RBI) and Ryan Howard (1 for 4 with 2 RBIs) also pitched in offensively for the Phillies last night. The Phillies and Cardinals are now tied up at 1 game apiece as the series shifts to St. Louis for Games #3 and #4.
