The Philadelphia Phillies re-sign Kevin Frandsen
The Phillies have re-signed 29-year old righty swinging infielder Kevin Frandsen to a minor league deal. Frandsen played in 81 games in A+AA+AAA-ball for the Phillies last year and he was 92 for 298 (.309 avg, .791 OPS) with 34 runs scored, 5 homers, 43 RBIs and 10 stolen bases. Frandsen last played in the majors back in 2010 with the Angels. He has played in 228 games in his major league career so far this year and he is 138 of 568 (.243 avg, .636 OPS) with 65 runs scored, 7 homers, 53 RBIs and 6 stolen bases. Frandsen will likely be stashed in AAA in 2012 until he’s needed.
