The Phillies have claimed 25-year old lefty swinging outfielder Ezequiel Carrera off waivers from the Cleveland Indians.  He played in 48 games for the Indians last year and he was 40 for 147 (.272 avg, .707 OPS) with 20 runs scored, 2 homers, 11 RBIs and 8 stolen bases.  Carrera has now played in 116 games in his first two years in the majors and he is 89 for 349 (.255 avg, .653 OPS) with 47 runs scored, 2 homers, 25 RBIs and 18 stolen bases.  I really like this pickup for the Phillies as Carrera is a very fast player.
