The Phillies have placed 34-year old righty reliever Mike Adams on the 15-day disabled list due to a right back strain.  Adams has pitched in 17 games (0 starts) for the Phillies so far this year and he is 1-3 with a 3.00 ERA and a 1.33 WHIP.  Adams has now pitched in 375 games (0 starts) in his first 9 years in the majors and he is 19-18 with 4 saves, a 2.31 ERA and a 1.07 WHIP.  This is a big blow to the Phillies’ bullpen, as Adams is a really solid set-up man.
