34-year old lefty swinging 2B Chase Utley will likely be traded by the end of this month if the Phillies don’t turn things around soon.  Utley has played in 61 games for the Phillies so far this year and he is 63 of 228 (.276 avg, .844 OPS) with 36 runs scored, 11 homers, 30 RBIs and 6 stolen bases.  He has not played in more than 115 games in a season since 2009.  He is in the last year of his contract, so he was about $7.5 million bucks still owed to him.  The Royals and Dodgers have already shown some interest in Utley and they both have s0me young pitching to get a deal done with the Phillies.
