34-year old lefty starting pitcher Cliff Lee and 25-year old lefty swinging outfielder Domonic Brown have made the 2013 N.L. All-Star Team.  Lee has been amazingly good so far this year for the Phillies.  He has pitched in 18 games (all starts) for the Phillies so far this year and he is 10-2 with a 2.73 ERA and a 0.98 WHIP.  He has given up 108 hits and 21 walks while whiffing 119 batters in his first 131 2/3 innings this year…….which is downright impressive as Lee keeps pounding the strike zone and attacking hitters.  Brown has played in 88 games for the Phillies so far this year and he is 92 of 327 (.281 avg, .885 OPS) with 49 runs scored, 23 homers, 62 RBIs and 8 stolen bases.  Brown has rewarded the Phillies for their patience in his development as a baseball player.

He has pitched in 30 games (0 starts) for the Phillies so far this year and he is 2-2 with 18 saves, a 3.03 ERA and a 1.08 WHIP. 33-year old righty swinging catcher Carlos Ruiz will be making his first appearance in the All-Star Game and he richly deserves it. He has played in 72 games for the Phillies so far this year and he is 83 of 233 (.356 avg, 1.000 OPS) with 38 runs scored, 11 homers, 43 RBIs and 3 stolen bases.
